HELP broken trolling motor

I have an old evinrude trolling motor and the steering cable keeps coming out and I am unable to steer it. Anyone know how to fix this? I replaced a screw in it that looked like it would fix it but it didn't.

i had the same proublem i just got a new evinrude that a guy sold to me for 50 bucks the only thing its a 12 volt instead of a 24 volt. but i cant complain it was cheep and i can fish.
