Old fisherman needs help on New lake

I just moved to this state (paducah,ky) 3yrs. ago. I am disabled, fishing out of a 14ft. flatbottom with 25hp. merc. On my monthly check I can only go maybe twice a month. I'm a Bass fisherman and have tried fishing the great amount of rocks or rip-rap, with not much luck. I would like to fish weedbeds or weed-lined banks on Barkley Lake. I can only run 2 or 3 miles in my boat. Can anyone suggest a place I may launch on Barkley that has these locations, within that running distance. Thanks to all. I like reading all your posts. Good Luck, God Bless, Good Fishing.

eddy bay would be an awesome spot. i am just not sure if there is a public ramp there. we fished there a lot but we always motored across from cravens bay. i don't think that would be possible for his boat and distance capabilities.

There is a lot of great fishing at Kutawwa. There is a good state ramp there and plenty of fishing.
