Herrington will be lowered to the elevation of 719 so that a surveying firm can survey Dix Dam. This temporary elevation is 6 ft. below the normal winter pool of 725. The work should be completed in a few weeks and the lake will be allowed to fill back to normal level as according to rain fall. The lake has been dropping about a foot a day since last week.
