Tim you of all people should know. It was UK the year that Squeaky Johnson and UAB defeated the cats in round 2.

Now, take that gigantic fork and stick it in me, then break it off sideways cause I lost Nova in the final 4 and my champ in Kansas. Turn out the lights, my party's over..........

    Mountain West Conference:

The tourney started this week. Feel free to show up anytime. What? You've already been and all four teams are out? I thought the experts said this conference was on the rise........

The "last 4 in" didn't even come close to sniffing victory in the first round. Let's expand this thing to 96 teams.....

PAC-10 - maybe not as bad as advertised, but probably so.

Northern Iowa - yeah I was wrong on them. They did lose to Evansville though, then turn around and beat Kansas. Go figure.

I guess Cornell or Saint Mary's is going to take the whole thing..........

Oh well, your Cats will be out soon enough.

You tell me when they will be out and I will take that bet for $50. Name which round and I bet $50 that they will go past that round.

If EVERY team in the tourney played to the BEST of their ability EVERY game then UK wins hand down. That is including EVEY team, Kansas and Villanova, and all of them. NOBODY has better talent and these freshmen are not playing in their first game of the season during the tourney. 35 games plus a couple of exhibitions and no telling how many hours in the gym and you can take the FRESHMAN title away. These kids have been playing for amateur and state titles all of their lives. Been under the microscope every game for years and most of all.......

THEY have played their best ball of the YEAR the past 2 games. I have been saying it all year long, Bledsoe - Miller - Dodson are the keys to this team. If they shoot the ball well from the outside, THEY ARE UNBEATABLE. Bledsoe burns an overmatched team in game one then flat out LOCKS down Wakes 2 guard to a tune of 2 points in 33 minutes of play. Miller goes off and most of all, John Wall strokes 3 - 3's with more confidence than I have seen him shoot it all year long. Starters shoot almost 70% from the field last night for UK, team shoots 62% even with the mop up shots. Best team in America, HANDS DOWN. I want the road to be Cornell (who I think will beat Wisconsin), W VA (to shut up all those that said WVA was going to beat UK, DUKE (for obvious reasons) and then Syracuse (for obvious reasons). After UK dispatches of a No 2 and two No 1's on the way to the title there will be no doubt who is the best team in america. Starting 5 plus Liggins, Orton and Dodson makes UK the best top 8 players in the country. Name one team, JUST ONE, who has the talent that can interchange Wall - Bledsoe at the point, Bledsoe-Dodson-Liggins-Miller, at the 2-3 spot, then Orton-Cousins-Patterson at the 4-5 spot. Best team in america and in a couple of weeks will be hanging another NCAA Champ banner in Rupp Arena.

UK can be beat. any team in the tournament can be beat at any moment and we have already seen some huge upsets.

im a cardinal fan and cant stand the sight of pitino. didnt like him at UK and hated to seem him at UL. UL's seniors should be ashamed at the lack of effort they gave this year and pitinos personal situation affected the team as a whole.

i am hoping that UK can bring home the title but they could get beat just like any other team. if they win its good for the whole state not just UK but the fact is they have to play teams with different styles and that can suprise even the best teams.

i had UL going out in the first as they did , i had UK and Kansas in the title game but now im thinking UK has a wide open shot at winning it all as long as they handle the pressure well and dont get suprised by a team that has a lucky game.

I sincerely hope you do not believe that. If Every team in the tourney played to their ability, UK would finish as runner up, everyone knows it but Cat fans. Bledsoe? Really? Take him off of the Cats and he is mediocre, there is a reason he is not considered as highly as Wall. Orton, Liggins, I thought they left and jopined the coaching ranks, since they don't listen to the coach they have lol!

Mark, the y beat a Wake team that finished the season going 5 -5 in their last 10, in a mediocre ACC conference no less. Of course they had losses to basketball powerhouses such as Miami, Florida St. and Virginia Tech, so it is understandable. They even lost to North Carolina, which is about like losing to IU this season.

$50 name the round the offer still stands. Most talent in america HANDS DOWN. The Big Blue just did not win against a 16 seed and a so so Wake Forest team, they DESTROYED both of them. No other team in the tourney has been as impressive no matter the seed. Playing their best ball at the right time and they can shine up the trophy for it will reside in Lexington KY in a couple of weeks. As far as Bledsoe goes, he is not as good as Wall and don't think he ever will be. But if he strokes the 3, which is all we need him to do then The Big Blue are UNBEATABLE by ANYONE in the college ranks still alive in the tourney or any team that has already been eliminated. Anyone that looks at them RATIONALLY can see they are the best team in america.

Okay Elwood, I will tak your bet! If you give me West Virginia in the Elite Eight, I will go $25. If you give me the field and you take UK I will make it $50. I could be wrong, but I never have seen a team with ZERO NCAA tourney experience win the whole thing. You have my cell number, and Fisheater, MHall and DJD know how to reach me.
