    Trim Bleeding An Evinrude

    Got a 96' 150 HP Evinrude FICHT Intruder. Trim needs to be blead off but have no idea on how to do it. Can anyone help out?

    Disregard this post. I will give an update on this Outboard motor though. The FasTrack systems are self bleeding. If you feel sluggish or jerky movements in your Trim like I am, chances are your fluid level is too low, or you got air in the fluid. Simply remove the filler cap and let it sit for 30 minutes. After that, cycle your trim in the up and down position around 5 times. You can use Automatic Transmission Fluid to refill...but I myself prefer MFG's suggestion and use OEM Trim Fluid.

    Got an update. After I got my confidence to mess around with this issue. The guy I purchased the Boat from overfilled the reservoir. It's supposed to be filled to the bottom of the filler hole in order to allow for expansion when you move the motor up and down. In my case, the fluid was over filled. Works fine now that I let some out.
