Keep dreaming and I will keep providing facts, which you will then ignore and make up some other crazy story that is not true. Then I will find facts and refute your dream again. What about it Mills, where are all these threads and post talking about Conference USA and the Metro?

I'll leave it at that...since i'm not pc savy enough to find wat i know i saw on this board and the KYhunting forum board...But i don't just make stuff up to be making it up. Never have and never will...if i put something on this board forum, i have seen it, wrote it or just passin the info on from other peeps.
Just because i'm not for U of L and litterly can't stand the program anymore after i found out about all the non graduating player's from the Crum era. I refuse to root for a team or program who puts winning ahead of getting an education at the tax payer's expense. just how i feel and those who love the U of L program have their belief's as well in their program.
Call me old school i guess....Cause i believe if the tax payer's are paying for a kids education, then the least they can do is graduate.....
For the Big Ten and SEC to be having such a down year it seems odd to me that they wind up with just as many and more teams in the sweet 16 as does the Big East.....and would anybody like to place a bet right now that there are as many big 10 and SEC teams in the final four as there are Big East....I'm tired of the "experts" on TV building up the Big East every year only to find out the other conferences in the country are just as strong....not saying there is a superior conference this year just pointing out that it's not the big east...put some of the mediocre teams from the big east like notre dame and U of L in the pac 10, SEC, or Big 10 this year and they probably don't even make the tournament because of the lack of respect they recieved

Coud not have said it any better.......
also..the Big East has only 2 teams left out of 8 teams in the Big Dance from all indications and the word from all the Sports buffs...the Big East shold have had at least a lock on getting 4 to 5 teams to the Sweet Sixteen. And the Big Ten has 3 teams left out of 5 teams....... yep Big Ten had a down year for sure...

Mills me and Tim know you just do half this crap to pull our chain. It works I guess to, lol.
All I know is I don't sling half as much mud about your team as you do mine and that my friend we can pull out the old posts on and compare. When you do that, guys are gonna say something back usually.
No doubt The Big East has not performed in this years Tourney I totally agree. But you said this same stuff last year also, what happened then?? Most Big East teams went very deep, including tow of the final four being from said conference. Louisville was way down this year and really most expected it, we lost a ton of talent. I use to turn my head when all the UK smack talkers would run Louisvillle down and try to not do that to their team. Well now I'm saying F..it, I'm gonna be like the rest of them and trash talk to, what the heck. Louisville is considered an Elite program in basketball Clyde, get over it, it's factual and one down year isn't gonna change that. Last year they were conference champs, conference tourney champs and Elite eight in the big dance. The year prior they were also Elite Eight in the dance hardly a trash program, would you think???
Kentucky has been in the crapper for several years and now one good year and the entire basketball world is suppose to bow down and kiss their feet.
I, for one, wasnt degrading Louisville....or Notre Dame for the matter....just saying that if you put them and maybe a couple others in different conferences their record wouldn't have been that much different and they wouldn't have made the tournament....Let me ask you this...if U of L and Mississippi St would have matched up in the first round of the NCAA tournament....who do you think would have won?
Without looking I'm going to try and name all the Metro Conference teams. I know it was a long time ago but I'll give it a shot, just for sharts and giggles....
1. Louisville
2. Memphis
3. Cincinnati
4. Florida State
5. Southern Miss
6. Struggling, long pause.......
6. Tulane
7. UAB
8. Really struggling now....
8. Tulsa
Now it's off to fact check this.
Ok. Back. UAB and Tulsa were never members. The first 6 I listed were along with Georgia Tech and Saint Louis (both for a short term, SLU>GT), also Virginia Tech was a long-time member and so was South Carolina. Charlotte, VCU, and South Florida came after the split in 91.

Once again Clyde, you made a mistake that you and others make on forums each and every year. I am going to try and explain this one more time.I'll leave it at that...since i'm not pc savy enough to find wat i know i saw on this board and the KYhunting forum board...But i don't just make stuff up to be making it up. YOUR TAX MONEY HAS ZERO TO DO WITH COLLEGE BASKETBALL PLAYERS AT ANY PROGRAM GETTING SCHOLARSHIPS! REPEAT YOUR TAX MONEY HAS ZERO TO DO WITH COLLEGE BASKETBALL PLAYERS AT ANY PROGRAM GETTING SCHOLARSHIPS!
Are you an IU fan or not Clyde? If so, then you obviously don't refuse to root for a program that puts winning ahead of getting an education and you don't root for a program that plays within the rules. Did you forget about Kelvin Sampson/ Did you forget who Eric Gordon was.
Your tax dollars do not fund one iota of U of L athletics, please get over it because you are WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!
Hey i never said Indiana was very good this year or last year..why should i? With only 1 returning player returning in Crean's 1st year as coach and a rebuilding year this past year...nothing can be said but kudo's to a school who won 10 games in it's season while playing in the Big Ten....
Yes i do get on here to get you and Tim riled up over the U of L program...that's wat a off topic board is for... Just razzin you in fun is all...If everyone was in agreement on this board it wouldn't be any fun posting stuff on here now would it?
As far as the new Arena downtown, i don't and can't support it in no way shape or form...total waste of my tax paying dollars is the way I see it...Catering to the U of L mens Basketball team is all it is and ever will be imo..... Just likeJurich adding those new seats at Papa John's Stadium...imo, they will never be filled due to U of L lack of game play over the past few years and it's gonna take a maraculess recovery by Charlie Strong to get U of L's Football program back on the track it was prior to Klugthorp coming in and ruining it....... But even briter days are possible for any school......
I am curious to see if the 3 kids coming in to play football from Fern Creek are elgible to play right off the bat. Being that Fern Creek is one of the major violator's in having it's kid's get passing grades in the KY High School Curriculem.... My youngest son attends Fern Creek traditional High School and his grades come first to any type of Sporting event or extra curricular activity after school..... I know from 1st hand knowledge that the atheletic director at Fern Creek can and does waive up to at least one bad grade during the semester grading period in order to keep the kids elgible to play sports at the school. Is this right, not in my mind it's not...education is priority number one and always should be, prior to anytype of after school activity...But we all know how the system plays out...So that is why i am curious about the 3 Fern Creek Football player's coming in and signing with U of L....

You just proved Elwood's point.....
The Louisville Downtown Arena is not owned by the University of Louisville, it is owned by the city, just like Rupp Arena is owned by the city of Lexington. Freedom Hall is owned by the state, U of L does not own it. Oh and here is some other breaking news Clyde, U of L will be paying to play there, it is called a lease and guess who gets the money....that's right, the city of Louisville.Hey i never said Indiana was very good this year or last year..why should i? Also, your cute little story about the Fern Creek A.D. waiving bad grades is pretty funny, considering that he doesn't have the power to do so. The eligibility rules are issued by the Kentucky High School Athletic Association
