Yes i do get on here to get you and Tim riled up over the U of L program...that's wat a off topic board is for... Just razzin you in fun is all...If everyone was in agreement on this board it wouldn't be any fun posting stuff on here now would it?

As far as the new Arena downtown, i don't and can't support it in no way shape or form...total waste of my tax paying dollars is the way I see it...Catering to the U of L mens Basketball team is all it is and ever will be imo..... Just likeJurich adding those new seats at Papa John's Stadium...imo, they will never be filled due to U of L lack of game play over the past few years and it's gonna take a maraculess recovery by Charlie Strong to get U of L's Football program back on the track it was prior to Klugthorp coming in and ruining it....... But even briter days are possible for any school......

I am curious to see if the 3 kids coming in to play football from Fern Creek are elgible to play right off the bat. Being that Fern Creek is one of the major violator's in having it's kid's get passing grades in the KY High School Curriculem.... My youngest son attends Fern Creek traditional High School and his grades come first to any type of Sporting event or extra curricular activity after school..... I know from 1st hand knowledge that the atheletic director at Fern Creek can and does waive up to at least one bad grade during the semester grading period in order to keep the kids elgible to play sports at the school. Is this right, not in my mind it's not...education is priority number one and always should be, prior to anytype of after school activity...But we all know how the system plays out...So that is why i am curious about the 3 Fern Creek Football player's coming in and signing with U of L....
The Louisville Downtown Arena is not owned by the University of Louisville, it is owned by the city, just like Rupp Arena is owned by the city of Lexington. Freedom Hall is owned by the state, U of L does not own it. Oh and here is some other breaking news Clyde, U of L will be paying to play there, it is called a lease and guess who gets the money....that's right, the city of Louisville.

Also, your cute little story about the Fern Creek A.D. waiving bad grades is pretty funny, considering that he doesn't have the power to do so. The eligibility rules are issued by the Kentucky High School Athletic Association

Rupp and Freedom are outdated and doesn't have the seating required to draw some bigger Pre-season and post season tourney's which I feel they could. Lot of revenue for both cities to be gained by this....

tim i'm sorry to bust your bubble on my facts on this subject but your wrong in every aspect of your thinking on this one...I would never post such a thing if i didn't know of this first hand and i do mean first hand knowledge of the programs process.... It might not be divulged to the public per say as the way the system works..but it's true in every way possible.

That is why i will be curious if the 3 player's will qualify for their freshman year at U of L is all I am saying.

So are you saying that the Fern Creek AD is having grades changed? How do you have such insider knowledge? I don't know much about the football team, but know quite a bit about the basketball program.

I won't divulge the person who explained the process to me and my wife, but let's just say 1 bad grade is dropped from the basis of the criteria for elgibility so that a player can continue to play on the Fern Creek Football Teams.

"Louisville in an ELITE Basketball Program" as one said, sorry just busted another hernia from laughing so hard

Clifford Rozier and Never Nervous Ellison as the only 2 consensous all americans since 1985. 2 National Titles since 1956. Final Four in 2005, 1986, 1883, 1982, 1980 - 5 in 30 years. Good Program not an ELITE program, not even the best program in their own conference.

50 NCAA appearances, 100 NCAA Tourney Wins, Two Thousand and some odd overall wins, winningest team in college basketball, 7 NCAA Titles, who knows how many all americans, that is an ELITE PROGRAM.

ELITE PROGRAMS - Duke, North Carolina, Kansas, UCLA (but they better do something quick because they can't rest on that 15 year stretch forever) and Kentucky.

All the rest are Good at Best

I actually typed Indiana in the list of ELITE and then removed them. I stand corrected for I did not know they had that many titles, love Tom Cream and think he will do an excellent job there and is one of the top 10 coaches in america and hereby add them to my list of ELITE.

If a team is considered one of the top ten basketball programs of all time, does that make them elite?

Typical UK BS. Quit living in the past, if you can finish in the top 25 most years you could call yourself an Elite program. The same could be said for many programs out there. It's just a term. Of course you UK guys think the sun rises and sets in the crack of your ass so I wouldn't expect you to understand it................. Laugh all you want I can't hear ya from here.
