There is much yet to be done on the healthcare reform before it goes into effect which will be 2014 but we will be paying into it for four years before then. I think that with the ten states filing lawsuits to keep it out of their states, there will probably be some reorganizing and pruning of the program. jmo
No, the "wicked" came from him. In the middle of the debate about health care. If it was not to be taken as a slam against those opposed to HCR, what was the point of posting it? You are either in denial or truly have difficulty understanding conversational context.

Re: Health Care Bill is Passed

I do not agree with this bill as it is written, it is not the type of health care reform we need. I see people evryday that abuse the system, remember that I give out FOOD STAMPS AND MEDICAL CARDS to the poor and downtrodden and I also give the same things to the crooks and the system abusers. We need a fix in this country, health care costs are way out of hand, greed and for profit have taken away from Drs and hospitials caring for people. they care more for the bottom line. I will hush on this as it makes no sense to talk about it anymore.

Re: Health Care Bill is Passed

I have a right to post my opinion just as the rest of anyone who opposes my opinions. That's what this section of Fishin.com is for. I really don't care one way or the other if you disagree. Most WILL disagree because not everything about the reform is aimed to please everyone. Just remember, I didn't make that reform. I do suppose it is easier to target one like myself rather than those who made it. Same goes for religion and God. Why not attack my posts rather than confront the "MAN" yourself. I agree....it would be easier.

As far as how I "LOOK" on this forum, or if I am taken seriously or not, those issues don't bother me either. To get yourself all worked up over what somebody says on a forum, says something about yourself as well. I mostly post on a thread like this because I'm bored. If anyone takes my posts as I am trying to start trouble, I wasn't aware that could be done....I didn't know I had that kind of power. I'm really not flattered about it...so stop taking things to heart and lighten up....please?

On the verse from the bible....I didn't write that one. The BIBLE says that and I threw it out there so people know. I could tell by the statements of some that it was a verse never read by some before. I'm not calling ANYONE wicked....those judgements are for a "Higher Power". However, I do care about how poor people and the sick are taken care of, which is why I give money to my church every Sunday. And I'm sure there is even an abuse of that at some church, somewhere. Wicked things will always be in this world, like people abusing the "SYSTEM" and what nots. But not everybody is a "SYSTEM" abuser and there is no way to control with today's health care or tomorrow's. It gets abused even in Canada and Europe I'm sure.

I have NO expectations of ANYONE on this forum. I did hear along the way in life though....."If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it all." I suppose in the opinion of some...that statement goes for me as well...so I will try to do better. If anyone is offended by me loving God, I'm sorry for that. It's just that, when I love something, I like to talk about it....like fishing. Sorry for crossing over the line on that one.

Republicans are a joke...They don't care squat about the average middle class american. The only ones who will have to pay more taxes are the $200,000 earners.. I really feel sorry for em... It's about time the tables were turned on these snobs. O'bama is a sure two termer now and I and most I've talked to are very thankful to have someone in office who cares about the poor and working poor. You can see what Republicans are made of when they shout the N word and spit at people. Come November hopefully we can get rid of some more of these weirdos!!!!!!!!

Show me exactly where I said your mother needed to die. Don't take my words out of context. Modern medicine is a double edged sword. It has extended the lives of many, but that comes with a price. If someone gets millions of dollars worth of coverage, they're going to have to pay a price for it.

    a) People here offended by your love of God? That's probably about the farthest thing from the truth.

    b) I'm pretty sure your opinion is welcome here, but you tend to have a way of throwing religeon into a lot of the threads you post on. This could be seen in some people's views what is often referred to as "stealing a thread". In other words, try to stay as close to the original subject matter of the thread as possible.

This entire healthcare issue is a very touchy subject in America right now, in fact I'd say the country is about as divided today as it ever has been. Then when religeon gets thrown into the mix of things all hell breaks loose. I think there's enough to discuss on this healthcare bill without bringing religeon into it, things like:

    1. How poor is poor (is a household earning between 75K to 100K considered poor?)
    2. Who will this bill effect the most and who won't be effected by this bill at all?
    3. Who will gain from this bill and who will gain nothing?
    4. How come the people in the white house aren't going to use this same healthcare system
that's being pushed down our throats?
    5. Does the new bill take care of the eldery and does it take care of children? Yes to either
one then I'm all for it in this respect, but as soon as it takes care of a certain person in this
world that I'm related to through marriage, then forget it..he needs to earn his own way!!

It's these sorts of things. So far it looks like those making over 250K per year will be the one's getting hit the hardest...this is what I gather anyway, I could be wrong.

Like I say, there's plenty to discuss about this bill without bringing religeon into it, there's a place for religeous discussions, but it's not on each and every thread that gets posted here.

Re: Health Care Bill is Passed

I find it unbelievable the sense of entitlement that people demonstrate. I wish I was capable of such feelings, then I wouldn't have the drive to work and provide for my family. I could just sit back, with my bag of cheetos (that tax money bought), watch the HCR vote, and then jump up (spilling my cheetos) and do a pump fist when they announced it had passed!

Talking Re: Health Care Bill is Passed

In response to your point A)
I suppose I will remove God from Fishin.com. Not a shock there.

In response to your point B)
Those are valid points for THIS particular thread.

Your Point A) Same can be said though in relation to hating Religion/God.
Your Point B) Same can be said though in relation to hating the new Health Reform.

LOL. I know you are having mucho fun talking to me Chub. I also ask you to please cut and paste ANY reference to religion I've made that does not fit into the topic. Whichever ones you find...I do apologize for, what do you call it, "Hijacking"? But if you really are concerned you will show me what you are talking about, as I'm not privy to it.

Now, as far as I can tell, your reference to "hijacking" a thread is when you talk about something that isn't topic related. Well, "baiting" is when you post things about a person and single them out "during" same said thread. Which leads to "hijacking", which leads to "baiting", which brings us to where we are now...one big loop. So, now, we both have "hijacked" and "baited" this thread, along with others.

I'm all for etiquette. No matter where I go. I somehow missed something I suppose, on this forum, in the rules, where you are not allowed to post religious sayings or announce that you walk with God. Again though...if you are that concerned, and it flares your temper that bad, I would gladly correct myself if you could just post a link to somewhere on here that it says I broke a rule. Otherwise, all I see is someone like yourself "Thread Stalking".

    Thanks for understanding Chub.

Now back to topic....I am for this Health Reform because I'm on Social Security Disability and I don't have the means to hold down a job and pay for insurance for my children. It's a simple as that for me....nothing else.

So I won't get taxed? You sure about that? Can you give me some proof cause even though i doubt it I would love to read about it. What qualifies as middle class?

Why hate people who make good money? Don't you think they earned it? Prolly business owners who give others jobs so why attack folks who provide jobs?

Years ago some great men warned of this type of thinking...way back in the days of Abe Lincoln to be exact.

Is Jesse Jackson a Republican? He must be because he got caught spewing hate to Barry. Harry Reid? Is he a Republican? He also spewed hate on Barry.
