It's no secret I think he is full of himself and his self proclaimed importance to this country. He is a tool in my mind, like I said if nancy P was running against the GOP at that election she would be POTUS.

He is a product of what you can become in this country regardless of color...yet he seems to forget that it's the men and women who serve this country that enabled him and us to have these freedoms and choices. Him even mentioning that veterans are selfish makes my stomach turn...check that... it gets me angry! MAN he is a piece of.......work.

I hear what you are saying Bobby. Don't let some of these guys get to ya. Most act all big and bad and full of negativity on a forum, but I'm willing to bet NONE are willing to walk into a hospital and say the same things to those who are sick and in need of something like this bill. Of which quite a few will never get off their death bed.

Look at it this way, the jokes about Obama and the Health Care Plan are actually pretty funny. But the reality is, the country has already changed because IT WILL be law come 2014. Just pray that the reform passes when it goes back to the Senate for the second time. I know you would never wish what happened to you upon another individual. Just realize, though it seems like others on this forum do wish that upon people, they really don't wish people would die. It just appears that way.

Your mindset of looking to the government to cure all your ills while ignoring their track record is myopic. Then again those "what's in it for me?" glasses give one a pretty myopic view. It wolud have been nice to have a thing as universial healrth care like Canada and Eurpre have, this bill is not like that but is a start. I would rather pay a little higher taxes and have healt care than to pay OUTRAGIOUS INS PREMIUMS AND CO PAYS AND DED. My mother died of cancer, leukimiea, my dad had a great UNION job and had good health ins, so he thought, the co pays and ded BANKRUPT him, he lost it all due to my mom getiing a diease that she did not ask for. TO hear some of you grumble over a few extra tax dollars, we spend billions on illegals for health ins why not the citizens,I wanted universial coverage like Europe and Canada, cause noone there LOSSES EVERYTHING WHEN THEY GET SICK, Why cause they do not have privite health ins cos that run their medical and health systems. BTW my moms bills after the ins co's pd and also some things they DENIED, why cause they could cause it cut into their PROFIT, those bills totaled over 1 MILLION, so you say well we should save for these things, who on here has 1 MILLION saved. Cancer killed my mother but greed ruined my dad. Was not enough to lose his wife of 35 yrs but also their home and everything else. And the sad thing is is that he is not the only one to lose everything due to illness.

Out of the million$ in bills, how much was actually paid out of pocket? What's a reasonable amount? 10% which in this case would be 100,000. 5% which is 50,000. Somebody or some group has to pick up the slack for the rest of the tab. There are literally millions of examples like this one nationwide. With the life expectancy expanding and people multiplying by the bazillions combined with all the latest and greatest technological advances it just won't work. The amount of healthy people that don't have any claims just can't shoulder the burden any more.

Bingo, prowler nailed it, someone has to pay the bill guys. I hate it for Bobby's father I really do, I dang sure hate it for Billy and his family, it stinks. My mother has been in the hospital in Acute care since December the 14th till right now, what do you guys think that is gonna cost...... So my big and bad attitude on this preacher man does have a dog in this fight. But I also know somebody has to feed the bulldog and I don't expect somebody else to pay my or mines way, that's all I'm saying. Does it stink sure it does but that's just the way things are, somebody has to pay the piper. My Mother is getting better and there is a real possibilty that she is gonna make it out of that place and live a decent life for what she may have left. She we probably be flat broke when it's over despite having a Kentucky state retirement insurance and Medicare and Medicaide.

This universal health bill is not the answer. I lost my wife to cancer at the age of 39 after 17 years of marriage. I also had to file bankruptcy on the copays. Her father who lived in Germany died of cancer the year before. The difference was that in Germany the doctors said they had no hope and had to left him die. I remember my father in law lying there in bed when the nurse told my mother in law to take his clothes and go home and they would call her when he passed. My father in law saw my mother in law go to the closet and take his clothes and tried to get out of the bed in a panic and orderlies subdued him and the doctor ordered him sedated. This I thought inhumane and had nightmares about it. My wife on the other hand was treated in the USA and although she had passed , I knew she had the best treatment that there was. Now that I age I fear that one day I will be in the hospital and I will see my next of kin taking my clothes from the closet in the hospital room but I will not be leaving with them. I feel your pain just not you views.

I think that with the ten states filing lawsuits to keep it out of their states, there will probably be some reorganizing and pruning of the program. jmo

No, the "wicked" came from him. In the middle of the debate about health care. If it was not to be taken as a slam against those opposed to HCR, what was the point of posting it? You are either in denial or truly have difficulty understanding conversational context.

I'm not going to seach the bible for a verse to combat what you just quoted because we could do that all day. Still think it was unfair.

To get back on point we all agree that something had to be done. Very few have the confidence in these elected goons to do anything right much less take more money from tax paying folks to redistribute to others.

BTW...I think the post office might be reducing some of their services soon even after raising prices on a constant basis for years. Isn't social security suppose to be bankrupt? Wonder who runs those?? Just a thought...

To prowler, maybe some shou die, my mother was Barely 50, sje did not just need to die and also PROWLER my dad still is paying on those bills, yes he picked up the tab. I am offended that someone has the BALLS to say that my mother needed to DIE. PROWLER i hope this never happens to you but if it does. I will not stoop that low.
