Good point. From what it looks like it's going to be an average of about 8% extra tax taken out of your check every week to pay for this to. I don't have an extra 8% to give I'm all given out.

The D's are far from finished with health care, this is only the first step. They are not leaving it alone till we have a 100% government provider system like their heroes in Europe. Private insurance companies are the proverbial dead man walking.

I'm not too sure about November either, I don't have much confidence in American voters. That we have this team of pro-government, spend-money-like-a-drunken-sailor lunatics in total control speaks volumes about us. November's a long way off, and as I understand it the only tenants of the bill that kick in immediately are preexisting conditions, and being able to keep 'kids' on a policy till they're 26.

This is good news for me. I know some don't like it. But for myself and my family, I'm on Medicaid through Social Security Disability already. This plan now covers my children by expanding the poverty level to almost 30k a year with a family of four. Currently, you have to make 20k or less to qualify for Medicaid.

It wolud have been nice to have a thing as universial healrth care like Canada and Eurpre have, this bill is not like that but is a start. I would rather pay a little higher taxes and have healt care than to pay OUTRAGIOUS INS PREMIUMS AND CO PAYS AND DED. My mother died of cancer, leukimiea, my dad had a great UNION job and had good health ins, so he thought, the co pays and ded BANKRUPT him, he lost it all due to my mom getiing a diease that she did not ask for. TO hear some of you grumble over a few extra tax dollars, we spend billions on illegals for health ins why not the citizens,I wanted universial coverage like Europe and Canada, cause noone there LOSSES EVERYTHING WHEN THEY GET SICK, Why cause they do not have privite health ins cos that run their medical and health systems. BTW my moms bills after the ins co's pd and also some things they DENIED, why cause they could cause it cut into their PROFIT, those bills totaled over 1 MILLION, so you say well we should save for these things, who on here has 1 MILLION saved. Cancer killed my mother but greed ruined my dad. Was not enough to lose his wife of 35 yrs but also their home and everything else. And the sad thing is is that he is not the only one to lose everything due to illness.

Most act all big and bad and full of negativity on a forum, but I'm willing to bet NONE are willing to walk into a hospital and say the same things to those who are sick and in need of something like this bill. Of which quite a few will never get off their death bed.

Look at it this way, the jokes about Obama and the Health Care Plan are actually pretty funny. But the reality is, the country has already changed because IT WILL be law come 2014. Just pray that the reform passes when it goes back to the Senate for the second time. I know you would never wish what happened to you upon another individual. Just realize, though it seems like others on this forum do wish that upon people, they really don't wish people would die. It just appears that way.

Nobody's wishing bad will on any other individual. The cold hard reality of it may be that people do just need to die. When somebody had a heart attack 30 years ago - they died. Now, they get a $10,000 clot busting medication in the ER, get shipped to the cath lab or have bypass surgery or something like that that racks up $50k or so, then get discharged on 5 new medications that cost $500 a month. And their copay for the whole ordeal $1500 out of pocket. You can't get all that and expect to pay next to nothing for it.

It's easy for me to say I'm a healthy individual. But looking at it from an objective standpoint the money going out far surpasses the money coming in and it's going further down the wrong way with each passing day.

Ok another unfair remark. man your full of those today. So to play this game..What if those people you speak of have done nothing but abused the system and because of that put honest tax paying people on hold to get legit transplants? What if they are terrorists who have killed hundreds of innocent people? Or what if they were rapists and murderers? What if they were politicians?? Ok it's getting silly but my point is this.

What we are saying is this Bill could have been written differently. We as a country need to hold people responsible for their actions and stop looking at others to pay the bill!

Sob stories are a great way to get sympathy but speaking for myself I'm talking about policy not going down the imaginary trail of what if.....Lets let Walt Disney and Al Gore deal with fantasy ok?

BTW...what about the Veterans who have placed their life on the line and or sacrifced their lives for this country and get treated like dog poo?
