    Dog Creek @ Nolin

I heard thru the grapevine that Dog creek has a couple of bath houses now. Can anybody confirm this for me?
I'm afraid if they did then it'll be hard to get a spot there soon. I've always loved it there. Pit restrooms keep a lot of ohters away.

Yes they are redoing the Dog Creek Camping Area with all new setup. So make your plans early to get a spot if you are going to camp there this year

Newton is correct in bath houses...I was there Saturday and they are nearing completion.

Raincheck, what specifically did you hear re: the no-wake zone? How are they changing it? My place is back past the bridge and I sure hope they don't go back the way it used to be where everyone could run through there.

I think what i read was no wake from the bridge too the other side of the park.I could be wrong and did see boats going past it last year full tilt. Its too narrow for that if i was asked.

Thanks Terry. You think it's bad back there now...they improved it a lot when they at least made the bridge section no wake. Until about 2-3 years ago you could run all the way thru the bridge to the back of the creek wide open. It's about 50 feet between those two pilings and big 27' Baha's would scream right thru there and then see the timber in the back of the creek and spin around and come right back through....real dangerous. Wouldn't hurt my feelings to see the whole area be no wake from the little island thru bridge (although it would increase my "commute time" every morning while trying to get out of the creek!

Those are for aerodynamics, don't you know? I guess you were too cheap to get the upgrade on that brand new model you just bought?! I'm gonna try to get down there sometime in April but right now I'm tied up watching too much basketball! I hope I have two more weekends of it! I'll be at Nolin doing some work on my place and fishing a bit the week of 4/5-4/9....maybe you could come up for a day or two and catch some of our "mini-me" crappie instead of those KY/Barkley hawgs? Later.
