Barren or Dale

Me and a buddy are deciding whether to go to Barren or Dale. We are going next Friday. Never been to Barren but was told it is very good. Hoping to get some input from you fellows.

Dale is very slow right now. I'd fish Barren.

Any advice on where to fish and what to throw? Never been and don't want to drive 2 hours for nothing. If not thats cool.

The spinner bait bite is picking up . BUT with that said jerk baits or a rattle trap is hard to beat on barren. The thing you need to find out is just how shallow the fish are . That lake is unreal as how shallow the bass go. start on the mud flats throwing rattle traps and slowly work deeper stuff until you try the bluffs. Head down and fish you will find them.

I had a BFL tournament on Dale 3-20-10 and yeah it was slow. Most boater and co anglers blanked. 7pounds won it on the co angler side people were lucky to get 1 fish, and if you want to know how barren is doing read my Barren report that I wrote today titled Barren. I fished there all day today.

fished it today caught a largemouth they weighed almost 7.5 pounds on a sexy shad going on the 4-6 range. Caught several smaller spots and largemouths on spinner and rattletraps. Good luck
