    Talented and a Class Act..

Louis Dale for Cornell fouled out with a minute to go in the game after playing his absolute butt off and not only are the Cornell fans giving him a WELL DESERVED STANDING O, but John Wall is Clapping at Mid Court as well. For the immature but talented players like Cousins it is nice to see players like Wall come around. Not that I have ever seen Wall do anything but show excellent sportsmanship and excellent character but this was a top notch class act.

    Cornell played an OUTSTANDING game.

I agree and I can't believe I'm gonna do this but here goes. Cousins showed great restraint several times last night. Especially when the kid from Cornell tackled him to prevent a bucket. Upon doing so the Cornell player immediately tried to ease his fall and then offered a hand up, which not only did Cousins take his hand and let him help him up he even smiled at him and said something they both thought was funny. I was taken back by that, maybe Cousins is growing up some.

Wall is all that. If Cornell hits three's in that game the way they did against Wisconsin that would have been a nail chewer.

I have watched big Cuz show alot of restraint toward the end of the regular season. He is learning. My guess is now that they are rolling through teams and with his future of making miliions right around the corner he has no reason to blow up. In fact he has millions of reasons to channel all that into good play and sail off into financial bliss.

I thought I had sat in the Dentist chair for the last 30 minutes of the game while he worked me over with a 1/2 " Hammer Drill. My guess is Callipari's gameplan was to slow it down and attempt to stuff the ball inside on every possession, which probably looked pretty good for the first 20 minutes but he needs to take last nights particular half time speech and "tweek" it a bit as in GET RID OF IT ALL TOGETHER. For the first time all year the Big Blue played the second half not to lose instead of playing it to win. Maybe the ease of the last 15 minutes of the first half got in their heads a bit. Defense flat out won the game no doubt about it. But the Cornell kids deserve a ton of credit for absolutely playing their heart out and not taking anything away from the effort from UK for they played their heart out as well especially on the defensive end. There was one stat that my guess is NOBODY predicted - UK shoots the exact same percentage from the free throw line as Cornell, go figure, and possibly the fact that UK had made the exact same amount of 3's at halftime as Cornell. That's why they play the games.
