    diff between lowland and highland?

    what is the difference between and lowland lake or reservior and a highland lake or reservior?

    It really means just what it sounds like. The Lowland res are ones that are more shallow and tend to be in low non mountainous areas, they are typically fairly shallow in nature and having more of the sloping tapered banks.

    Highland res are usually in steep moutainous type areas and are usually deep to very deep with lot's of steep banks and bluffs. They also usually are very clear in comparison to the lowland lakes as well.

    There is some other stuff to but this is really the brunt of it.

    KY and Barkley and Old Hickory = Lowlands

    Cumberland and Dale Hollow = Highland

    Barren and Green and Lake Malone ?
