I fished all day saturday and fought the wind. Kentucky beat me to death, so spent the bulk of the day on North Barkley. Just like offdtop, I had a ton of fish, but no keepers - it was fun nonetheless. The fish that barely missed measuring were extremely fat. It is just a matter of time (any day now) when the bigger fish will start turning up more - and this week looks like the perfect week with some warmer weather coming in. I caught fish on everything (jigs, shakey head, crank baits, lipless crankbaits). Ealier in the week, I caught my better fish on a shakey head, but was having a hard time fishing it as slow as I would have liked in the wind. The water was a lot more clear than I would have thought with all the recent rain - even barkley was fairly clear (for Barkely this time of year). I think you will have fun, and catch a ton - hopefully by the middle of the week, the bite for better fish will pick up a great deal.

I would also pay close attention to the lake levels. Right now they are at summer pool or close to it. Hopefully they will stay that way, but if they start pulling it back down I would use some caution - but of course on barkley, I am always extra cautious any time of year.
