They would be getting the same treatment fairly quick. I would ask them what the problem was, and tell them, next time let you know and you will take care of it, and please don't touch your dog again. If he gives you an attitude, I would be all over over him.
That is an easy one...first call the police..this is against the law! That way...you have it on record that you tried to let the law handle it. It's animal cruelty...and is punishable with a huge fine...and 24 hours in jail.
Now....did your dog do anything to make this person beat your dog??? I've shot a few dogs in my times...but they were aggressive around children..and running wild...I have know problem what so ever putting those dogs down hard!
But if calling the law doesn't do any good...then the next time...if there is one..."and they are on your property"...you verbly warn them first...(if they keep beating your dog)...take your shot-gun and shot them with bird shot in the lower portion of their body...that will work I assure you! I'll see ya on the news ....if you go that rout. But Im 100% sure, knowbody will beat your dog again.
I've always been under the impression that if someone wants to kick the dog, they better be ready to kick the man too.
The thing about that Chubminnow...is that there are some fellas that can kick the dog, and the man...and have know problem doing so....then what?
The reason why this topic grabbed me so: One evening I was walking my dog at a park...here in Louisville...just a block from where I lived. My dog was on a leash. I had a full grown German Shepard...she was a wonderfull dog, raised her from a pup. She loved children, and was very playfull and easy with them....she was by far the smartest dog I've ever owned. As I was walking her back home;...out from between two homes came running a dobermen pincher...and just attacked us out on the side walk. Of course I let go of the leash...and my dog began to put a huge wooop ass on the doby...but I pulled her off, when I saw that it was going to lead to the death of the other dog...But, to my surprise... the doby wouldn't stop...once again I let go of the leash...and again, my dog was about to bring it to a close...when this man ran out of the house screaming to stop...So I pulled the leash and they stopped...the man grabbed his dog. I told the fella that we were attacked and my dog was just doing what he was trained to do. And that his dog wasn't on a leash???
The fella used some profanity...and then made a few threats twords me and my dog. I asked him to do it now...that I was ready...but he grabbed his dog, and they went into the house. Never saw either one ever again...
Two days later, when I came home from work...my dog was dead stiff!!! I had her for 14 years...The vet said...after paying him 200.00 bucks that my dog had been poison. She ate something that killed her.....Im still not over it. I went to the house were this dude lives I guess...but it looks as though they are gone? I've yet to get another dog to this day.
Okay heres the lowdown, when she was a pup she would crap in his yard. He would complain then pile the crap on my driveway. I went and bought one of those electronic barriers, not a problem since last spring when she was pup. she wont go ove there now even with out the collar. A few weeks ago he complained that she had chewed on a tree branch in his yard.
This is a Chocolate Lab that belongs to my 7 year old. This morning I let the dog out to take a leak about 3-4am about 5 I here a solid crash, as I get up to let her in she all but knocks me down trying to get in the door and there he stands on the driveway telling me "Im gonna have to do something about my #$%^ she has woke me up every morning this week. She has barked at other cats and dogs in the neighborhood, hell shes a good watch dog. I make her come in with in a couple of minutes of the barking beacause I do respect my neighbors at least most of them.
He said when we first brought her home as a pup she was going to get too big and belonged on a farm. she is 75#'s and a great companion to a mentaly challenged child.
Needless to say I found where he or she one ran thru a piece of fence it was knocked down and the poles broke off in the ground also found a rock on the drive that im pretty sure he chucked at her.

If the dude steps on your property and beats your dog, I'd say the cops would understand a good a#*-whipping either way. This fella and you need to have a heart to heart about it real soon so he gets the picture you're not messing around either. Unfortunately, you're gonna have to watch her in the mornings and nights when you let her out to do the deed if you're worried about him poisoning heror throwing rocks at her, etc...you don't want what happened to Demodan to happen to you. Good luck with it and Happy Easter anyway man.
If your dog barks every morning at 5:00am when you let her out and she wakes me up......I'd be PISSED. I don't know the whole story here, but I went around and around with a neighbor who didn't respect his neighbors.Okay heres the lowdown, when she was a pup she would crap in his yard. Spent some serious money to take care of the problem. Now I wonder when the butthole neighbor is going to burn my house down. I will tell you this, it almost came to blows.......the butthole neighbor is from Mexico and didn't give a RIP about his dog barking through the night.
I know your situation is a little different, but if your dog is barking and waking folks up, I think you're in the wrong........
Later,
Geo
Geo,
She rarely ever barks, this is just the latest of BS complaints he's decided to come up with. I just spoke to the police and apparently he is a problem since they happened to know the guy, he's already in the system.
If I had time to think about it I prolly would not go medieval on his arse BUT if we are talking in the moment and I see him doing it or my little buddy laying there hurt it's a done deal. Whoop arse is coming and it's coming quicker than lightning...size of the fella don't matter one little bit besides anyone who thinks that beating on a dog is right is usually a bully who has never been taken down...just my peaceful thoughtfull opinion.
Thanks for some clarification...........some people you can NEVER please. I always figured you were a standup guy and this neighbor is a prick. I think you confirmed that a little.
Thanks,
Geo
I have a neighbor just like you! I keep my dog contained in my yard and his used to wake me up every night. I confronted him once and he said he moved to the country so he could have animals and I should deal with it. I did and now I sleep silently. Anyone missing a ( tabby ) that likes to crap in landscaping? If so he moved 2 counties over.Okay heres the lowdown, when she was a pup she would crap in his yard.
