Can a prop be rehubbed,,like from a merc to a Johnson?
Depends on the prop. Some have interchangable hub systems. If it is a pressed in hub I doubt it. I would consider selling it (poss ebay) and purchasing the one that I need. Replacing a spun hub is not real cheap, so that money would be better spent in a prop that is made for your motor. Cost of re-hub + amount you could sell prop for = amount for a new or good used prop that fits your motor.
well shoot!,,I need to borrow or buy a prop for just 5 days, till I can get the money up to buy a neither prop...Need a 143/4X23 or 24 for my Johnson 200. The one i have on now I banged up and viberates so bad,,,I wont use it,,,
The last time I had a hub put in a a prop I think it was about $50 You could change it from Merc to Johnson.
