Blacklights in the rub rails is a VERY easy job. Won't even take an hour. I have 2 LED black light strips on each side of my rub rail and two on each side of my deck. They costed $6 a piece from ebay. My buddy ordered some from a marine light company prior to mine, and paid a pretty good amount of money for his... but mine ended up being the same exact thing.

Re: Black Lights in Rub Rail

I did my rub rail with the black lights, and did it by myself. it's so easy, { a caveman can do it. } I did 6 strips 38" long and each strip had 96 bulbs. I put 3 on each side of my boat. they turned out great. I made a video of doing mine, and put it on youtube. anyone thinking of doing their own, this video might help. it really is very simple to do, so simple that it don't make sense. to pay 700.00 when you can do the same thing for less than 200. check it out on youtube. { how to install blacklights in rub rail } I hope this helps.

Somebody made waterdog remove the video from youtube (copy right infringement bahahaha)
It's not hard to do yourself, know the type of rub rail you have size ID and OD (if its round type) before jumping in though. I have 4 strips 2 on each side with a remote on off key ring transmitter (like on your car) $135.00 invested. about 3 hours time.

From what I can tell they call it "moon-glow" I guess to resemble the glow of the moon, I think it's a little softer lighting
