Super-Dupers are great lures.......another favorite of mine is the Panther Martin spinner in black/gold or yellow/silver. Perhaps the best way to catch trout though, is fly fishing.

I've had good success at cherokee park in louisville and prisoner's lake in kenton county with standard gold/orange panther martin. Little marshmallows also work well a times, red and orange seem best. powerbait is good as well. light tackle and watch for light quick bites.
KDFWR has posted the stocking schedule for April:

I'll be checking out Miles and Fisherman's that weekend, at least. Never fished that lake at Cherokee. Where do you park for that?
Thanks for the heads up. I had been checking it, but they usually don't post the months stockings till the first of that month. Glad they posted early. I know were I will be after the 13th!KDFWR has posted the stocking schedule for April:

There is a parking lot off of the corner of Grinstead Dr. and Lexington Rd. I've heard that the aquatic vegetation can become a hassle a little later in the yr.
The veg can get bad. The sub-aquatic stuff was still pretty thick late last fall when i was there. It was difficult to keep the panther martin out of it.
