anybody tried below mcalpine, how is that looking what is a safe level to fish below the dam and what is an unsafe would like to try sauger or cats or stripers, what about skipjack are they bitting yet.
Kyjake do you ever bass fish the river there in greenup? I have fished both the ohio and the little sandy a few times with nothing major to talk about if you know what I mean. I could use alittle help there if you could.
Haven't bass fish the area below Greenup for years but there is bass there, see one caught from the bank now and then, mostly smallmouth but the fellows fishing from boats and targeting bass have some luck.I fish mostly for sauger and walleye.Plan on going tomorrow afternoon,if I make it will give a report on water conditions.

keep fishing the little sandy, there is some good fishing in there for bass! especially the next few months.
very unsafe right now
The ohio is still roaring. Wouldn't fish it for at least another week barring any rain.
Fished below Greenup dam tonight between 7 Pm. and 9:30 Pm.,caught 7 sauger 4 being good keepers and a couple white bass. The river is about 16'' over the lower walkway, some color but not too bad for good fishing.River still flowing pretty hard but shouldn't be too bad for a boat if one is careful.Fishing buddy had about the same results.
