I'm going to Patoka Thursday

April fools day and my Indiana License for 2010 is valid. Got my motorized boat sticker on the boat. I double checked my PFDs,throwable PFD with line attached, fire extinguisher, horns and all other safety devices to keep the Patoka Lake patrol off my butt.

We're going to try to catch some crappie but we haven't been to Patoka in over 3 years. I think we'll try to vertical jig around standing timber.

Wish me some luck, please and any tips are gratefully accepted.

Tyme I'm no expert on that lake but they catch some nice bass up there this time of year. Keep the bass rods handy.

Shhhuush! No bass there! Only a few very small panfish - not worth the time or trouble!

COE is everywhere and they check everyone's boat - got to have the special permit - they even get out of the boats and check people fishing from the shore!
