    Re: Fishing help

ive not fished this lakes but with the warm weather & stable fish should be moved up in shollow water i would start at secondary points & work my self to the back of creeks for as lures im more of a power angler so i would go with crankbait R jerkbait if water is clear nat colors if stained chartreuse colors if muddy slow it way down thin i would go with a slow falling jig dark colors.

    Re: Fishing help

I fished Laurel about 4 times a week from spring thru the fall, but thats been about 5yrs ago, I moved to Knoxville and couldnt get up here because of work and now I dont have a boat. It is a tough lake but there are spots that I tried to hit regural basis. Do you fish the river section of the lake much or do you stay on the lower end? Do you fish it day, night, or anytime?

Laurel will have at least 2 tourneys going out of Holly Bay. The Renegade and Saddlebrook Open I believe are scheduled for this weekend. Hope this helps.

Smokefan, I usually fish Rogers Creek or Spruce Creek. I will journey down to the river section if nothing is going on there. As for when I fish, I usually wake up bout 3 and head out till bout when I just can't fish no more. I try to come home before dark so I can spend some time with the wife and boy. Decided to go to Wood Creek and glad I did. Caught 8 3 keepers one was 19 inches.

Smokefan, I know them rocks you are talking bout. Thats where that smallie came from in the pic. My first sm bout 3 years ago. As for the back seat, we will have to get out sometime. I work weekends at walmart dc and fedex a couple days through the week, but try to fish at least once a week if not more. I will let you know ahead of time when we can get together.
