The skiffs they use, from the pictures Ive seen appear to be deep Vs about 25-30ft in length but maybe 6ft at the beam. All that Ive seen have been tiller stear with maybe a 65hp motor but Ive seen pictures of one that had twin tiller motors! Dont know exacty how they had it rigged but I bet thet boat would run pretty fast.

They are towed out on a mother ship several hundred miles and use that ship as their base to refuel/resupply.
