Herrington today

Today for once was a really good day for me on Herrington. The bass and hybrids were on fire for us. We fished the mid-lake area with redeye shad(sexy shad) and lucky craft pointers(78 ghost minnow). My brother, friend and I in all caught around 50 fish today. If I had to guess 20 were bass and the others were hybrids. We were fishing the standing timber in 20-30 feet of water. Our biggest largemouth was three and a half and the biggest hybrid was 7lb 3oz. My largest hybrid to date. The bigger hybrids and bass were killing the jerkbait. The smaller hybrids were eating the redeye shad. We fished till about lunchtime when the winds really came up. It was a great day to be on the lake. We had a blast and for once were not cussing the lake when we left.

Bassman, Good deal & glad you had a good day. Herrington can be tough, but it really has a very nice bass population when it comes to quality fish

We went out yesterday as well, and had the same luck, but were a little late, we went out around 1 until 3, but ended up with 11 all together, probably 6 bass, and 5 hybrid, it was really fun.

AWESOME!!! My cousin went to H with some friends the other day. They were free lining live shad and caught hybrids up to 12 pounds!
