I think they were out on strike for the last contract as well...The great POTUS will make everything fine and dandy for all of them if The Owner's close up the Boat Yard again.......

If they dont want their jobs I am sure there will be no problem finding replacements in a hurry. There are millions of people who need jobs to provide for their family and would love to have these positions. If they lose their jobs permanently as a result of choosing to not go to work then they shouldn't get any unemployment benefits. JMHO..
I know that's not how it will turn out but it should. Striking because your working conditions are unsafe is one thing but because you think you cant afford your healthcare benefits on your 20 dollar an hour job is another. Or because your not given better benefits than non union employees. Why should union employees be treated better than non union employees? Are union workers lives more valuable? How about trying to pay for it at zero dollars an hour for a while. Let me know how that works out.
Here's a thought. Maybe the union could buy it and run it themselves and then they could give the workers everything they want. Oh wait that requires the union to invest and risk money on their investment. Nevermind I forgot that's just not what a leech does.....

I wonder how many workers actually wanted to strike? Sometimes you get caught up in what the masses want and you don't have a voice. Typical Union garbage at least thats how I react since the Unions are usually not doing alot of good.
Seen good friends go at eachother years back because of the UPS strike. One guy was so pro union and the other wanted to feed his family...it got ugly.

Did you see them on the news explaining why they're striking? "We don't want to pay any more for our healthcare!"

Everybody in the country is paying more for healthcare. What makes them so special?

Dumbasses are shooting themselves in the foot.

I don't see anything wrong with that. Union, schmoonion...heck, I can gaurantee you there are just as many skilled non-union workers as there are union workers, I say this because I know this for a fact, I've seen it first hand.

On the flip side, I guess if there weren't unions the the big man would run all over everyone?????? I don't know, maybe I shouldn't have commented....I feel like I have a case of mush brain this week from working excessive hours at my non-union job.
