central KY they are cruising but not locked as far as I know. Prob a couple weeks off once the full moon hits.
Was on Green tonight and saw a lot of cruising fish....and some big cruising fish....but none on beds as far as i could tell....and couldnt catch the cruisers...any tips on those big girls
Man the cruisin fish at Green are spooky. I tried to cast as far as 15-20 feet ahead and they still spook off. You are dead on the money when you say there are some bigguns. I saw two or three today that were 5 plus. I did see one fish locked on a bed. It was a two pound ky. It took me 15 minutes to catch it on a fick shake.
Caught some on bed as early as 2 weeks ago, and seeing plenty of fry now. First wave has done gone. But the full moon coming on the 28th should be the big wave.

I was wading a creek the other day, outside of Richmond and saw a nice smallie sitting on a bed. I also fished a farm pond on Tuesday and saw several on beds.
Its different everywhere. Western lakes, ponds and creek smallies are a little different than eastern kentucky but I expect to see a few beds tommorow. But I dont expect to see very many beds. I plan on fishing on the move and keeping an eye out for beds.
A few KYs males up swimmin on dale today not seen any females up shallow yet but should been soon
We didnt see anything on the beds today. In fact we didnt even see many fish shallow. Still managed 3 keepers and 3rd place and lost one at the boat that would have assured 2nd and maybe 1st.![]()
