Steve I still haven't seen a spawning fish of any type, and don't expect to at Monroe for a couple more weeks. I was trying to trust that what you said was correct......you can be a smart a$$ all you want....that doesn't change my opinion at all!

I fished loon today, and i really dont know.. i caught a bunch of males on lizards in spots a bed could be and only caught one female. Water temps are in the 70s now.. i think theyre spawning, if you catch a male up shallow tomorrow throw right back in there.. thats something i didnt do a whole lot of today but wish i would have.

Well, I haven't seen it in lakes but have seen it happened in pond in Indy. Two ponds of about the same size, not sure of depth. The clearer pond is completely spawned out with empty beds everywhere and the blue gills are starting to move up on the empty beds. The heavily stained pond haven't start at all.

I'll give it a go Stevens. I'll be on bluegrass tomorrow. People on loon have me wanting to kill someone lately. I don't know what it is but every time on loon I run into stupid rude people lately. Let's hope the thunder storms hold off enough tomorrow to get out. And the cold front doesn't mess up patoka for me on Saturday and Sunday.

Bluegrass had a ton of babies in the grass. I don't think the spawn is completely over yet due to one big female full of eggs still today. There are males sitting on beds still too. I do think most of the spawn is over. Nome of the fish I caught today had bloody tails like the last 2 weeks.
