I do L-O-V-E my 30 degree spitting rain/sleet/snow never see the sun Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursdays at Dale Hollow Lake from the first of December thru the first half of January with my FNF rod in hand chasing "them ol brownfish".....BUT.....a VERY CLOSE SECOND is my Ky Lake trips from the end of March to the first of May and.......

My first days on the water after my latest surgery this past Feb will begin in about 46 hours from NOW. I figure we will be launching around 5pm Saturday to fish until who knows when Saturday night and then planning on some 16 hour days of fish catching action SUN - MON - TUE - and WED. The forecast looks OUTSTANDING and if Ky Lake is like I know it is, then 100 fish days a plenty coming forth SOON. Big Girls are moving up, Full Moon in a couple of weeks so hoping the majority of the Bigguns are still in a feeding mood and not a love making mood (I am not very good when they are locked on the beds). Crankbaits, Spinnerbaits, Last Cast jigs, Hook Some Bass Baby Brush Hounds will pretty much do the trick. Truth be told about it, just hoping to catch 1 and not make any trips to any Healthcare Facilities in the Paducah and/or surrounding areas. Will be enjoying the company and fellowship with 3sons on Sun and Mon and DCBasser and his Brother on Tue and Wed. At least I am not going at it alone and there is somebody with me to drag me to the operating table if needed (my wife will not be happy if this happens). Come back Wed night and head to Dale Hollow Saturday night the 24th for 3 days of Smallie/Greenie/Ky action. Should be 2 pretty good trips and I am looking forward to both of them. Amazing at what a little boat time can help ease your mind from medical issues and other life issues. I wonder a LOT of times what would I do and where would I be if I still had all the health problems that I have had over the past 4+ years but did not have FISHING as a much needed ESCAPE.
