When are they gonna raise herrington???

Went to fish herrington last weekend ans as we were drivin across the bridge to go to bryants camp we saw that herrington barely had any water in it. They had to dig into the lake bed to make the ramp longer! I was in a jon boat, but as of last week there was enough water for a bass boat. We spent a lot of time walkin in coves we normally fish. found lots of great structure places to fish when the water back up.

They will raise it WHEN WE GET SOME MEASURABLE RAIN!!

All of the flood control lakes are low becuase there hasn't been enough rain to fill them. The COE is holding the water and the lakes should have been full by now but without rain there is nothing that can be done except wait for the rain to fall.

They can't exactly raise the lakes with no rain, i have a feeling we're gonna be hurting for rain come July and August. If it doesn't rain some here soon i'm afraid the lavel we see right now on the lakes plus maybe a foot or two is about all we're gonna see. We were at Barren Saturday and the lake is almost 10ft low still, looks like the grass is gonna come back up this year if there isn't more water here soon.

The water is low in Herrington because they lowered it to inspect the dam. It will not return until the inspection is over and rains have come.

In March I sent a e-mail to Ion power owner of KU and asked when the inspection of the lake would be over, and believe it or not I got a answer, they said that the inspection of the lake and **** would be finished on the 19th of March I think, 15th or 19th anyway all we need is rain,

Call 859-748-4685 for the current Herrington Lake level. The current lake level is about 720 which is 20 ft. below the normal summer pool level of 740.
