today was just a tough day i believe...i only caught a few shorts, and some bluegill...i still don't get why bluegill bite on a swimbait...

wow, i thought he meant 10 bass at first... hard bite today,...had about 8 lbs,2 keepers

Sorry should of cleared that up a little. We were crappie fishing. I wouldn't drive to patoka for bass.

Had a small club tourny and took 21 pounds for first. I managed to squeek out 4 that went 11lbs. One fish from money, like usual. Caught bass all day long most were 14 in. Yes it is very low. Good time to look around at structure though.

Actully the lake is just over 1 foot below summer pool. Catching the big crappies this month has been tough.

The Corps have kept the lake so high in recent years it seems very low now.

Anybody know why they've kept it so high?

True....right now it is still over two feet above normal pool.

Summer pool is 536 and right now it is at 534.7. 1.3 feet below summer pool.

To control flooding downstream of the dam. We have had a lot more spring rain the last few years then this year.

I dont know how it can be even close to summer pool. they need to update the records. It hasn't been at "summer pool" in ten years then. It is lower now then I can ever remember. Most of the structure I normally fish was on dry land. The grass is not up like normal either.
