Re: Monticello, Ky. man gets caught cheating in annual big fish tourney on Cumberland

Ok guys This is the story as told by one of the tournament officials. Someone who would not give his name called the tournament official of an up coming big bass event ( this past sunday) and told him where a basket that contained 5-6 keeper smallmouth was hidden. The official found the basket and took a hole punch and punched the tails of each fish. When the gentleman and his brother tried to weigh in the fish they where told one of two things was going to happen .If they weighed the fish they would be arrested on site and charges would be brought against them OR they could throw back their fish and take the walk of shame. Over 100 witnesses where there.Since it only happened yesterday no newspaper article has been printed.
As for dragging someones name or rep through the mud I think those guys are doing a good job of ruining their rep by themselves!!!!
So Dave I have no problem giving the names if you say it is ok. Don't think those two yahoos want to be pressing any charges against this board or any person or persons.. lol

Jeff: Whether or not you post the names here on the board is up to you...not me. I would however if I were you, contact [email protected] before you do so to get the owner's opinion on this, because this is what I will be doing if they are posted. If the owner is fine with your doing so, then go for it.
