Back from a three days of bass fishing Dale...much going on at Dale...Many largemouths on the nest...so those that are good at sight fishing...this is the time!!! It isn't easy...and like anything else...it takes practice. I saw over a dozen...but only was able to get 2 to be aggressive enough to bite...Saw many over 3 and 4lbs pounds...boy, will that get your heart beating. Many in my club are very very good at sight fishing...so they had 7 and 8 keepers sight fishing each...it seemed the more south you went...the more aggressive they were about protecting the nest...if that makes any sence; we went out of Wolf. My club set a all time record of weight for our weigh in Sat;...they have been going down there sence the 70's...If Im not mistaken, the club had over 270 pounds off bass...90% were largemouths....for roughly 60 anglers...it took 21 pounds to win Sat.; and around 19 pounds on Sunday!!! There were also some prespawners...about half way back into the creeks...they were hitting more on plactics, than spinners or CB. But again...very tough fishing...if you wern't sight fishing...and those that were...still had a tough time...but not all. The spots are very active as well...and they are spawning to...look around the docks...you just might see them spawning on most anything?? There were a few locals just doing great with the crappie!! Many black crappie being caught...not very deep either!!!
