Kentucky lake ledges?

I will be going to KY lake at the beginning of June and wanted to know how is the ledge fishing at this time of year? What is the best month for ledge fishing on KY lake? Thanks for the help.

When you are going is hitting the nail on the head for ledge fishing. I am not the best or even good at ledge fishing but the first of June is the best time to go.

For a NORMAL year the ledge bite starts up in May and will do so this year as well but it could be a little later in May than normal since the water temps are behind schedule. All based on water temps and not calendar and if we get some pretty hot consistent days it could catch up in a hurry. When the shallows heat up enough to push the shad out to deeper stable water temps is when it is the best. For me, when the shallows are consistently above 75 is when they start moving out and when I move out to follow.

Got to fish 90 minutes caught 28 fish with 8 keepers and about an 18 lb sack but then had to leave and come home, reasoning is on the OFF TOPIC board post that I posted.

June is prime time for ledge fishing...they are rested up from the spawn and hungry...not unusual to get into schooling fish at all in June on the ledges.
