Thanks Joe and no dis-respect but I am literally SICK AND TIRED of going thru this crap and if I have made a lot of people pray then it is time for them to pray for somebody else because the current situation is not working. Basically, let me be the first to say LIFE STINKS!!! I hear people bitching and griping about having to go to work and do other stuff that they don't want to. All I can say is walk a mile in my shoes and you will be BEGGING to be physically able to go to work. People get up in the morning and wonder how work will go, what time they may get home and if their boss is in a good mood or bad - If I go to sleep (sitting in my recliner because it is way too painful to sleep laying flat, not slept in the bed at night with my wife since Christmas Eve), then I get up and wonder if the day will end up with me sitting in UK Hospital or not.

It's possible that the reason the prayers aren't working is because you are blocking every one that is prayed for you with the words of YOUR mouth. God is not going to force you to accept the healing He has for you when you reject Him and every prayer through your murmuring and complaining. He gets tired of that crap just as he did when the Israelites were constantly complaining against him after He had already delivered them from the Egyptians and they were on their way to the Promised Land. He sent an earthquake, opened up the earth and dumped what some historians believe to be over two million people, AND their animals in the hole. He is God and hasn't changed; He still doesn't like people complaining about the work of His hands. He is able to deliver you and He is able to pull the plug on you but you don't want to face an angry God when you die.

I got another bad report last Monday that knocked the wind out of me but I also got one very good report. I'm being sent to another doctor in another city for treatment. My Neurosurgeon said, "there is nothing else I can do so I'm sending you to a different doctor that is out of town." I went to my car feeling very numb and sat there and cried for a couple of minutes. Then I said, "No way am I going to let this take over my life and rob me of living it the best I can." I sat there and prayed, "Dear God, thank You for the good news and the healing you have already done in one area. You are faithful to finish the wonderful work that You have begun. You can use whatever and whomever you choose to accomplish your healing in my body so help me to walk this out without murmuring and complaining against you."

I called my husband and gave him the name of the new doctor and the facility where I would be going. He got so excited he could barely speak and then he yelled, "Oh, Honey! that is the place where we send our more seriously injured employees. You won't believe the work those doctors can do and how fast the patients recover."

"Trust in the Lord with all your might, and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths." (The Bible)

Never intended for this post to go into the religious side of the equation but since it is there: My faith has always been held together with dental floss compared to others that has unlimited faith. Faith is also something that gets tested with the good and bad that comes along in life. I have been beat on and kicked around so much the past 5 years that what little faith I had at the beginning of this ordeal has been tested over and over again to the point that the dental floss has broke. From never in the hospital, no broken bones, $400,000 in real estate, high 700's credit rating (could sign my name and get anything) retirement, savings, mid 6 figure plant manager job, just adopted the best little boy on earth from Katmandu Nepal and the most supportive greatest wife in the world TO 455 days in the hospital, 26 surgeries, real estate GONE, retirement spent, savings GONE, no job, $65,000 in medical bills, no credit cards, credit rating in the toilet, weekly visits for Endoscopy procedures at UK - pretty much beat down. Still have the best wife and son on the planet and if I used up all my good luck to get them then so be it, but they deserve better even if I don't. Never understand it and all I am saying is I see people that everything they touch turns to gold and rose pedals are dropped under their feet as they walk but I can't catch a break. Pretty much sick and tired of being SICK AND TIRED.

Elwood if it helps VENT - with all of things you've been through you are overdue on a major break - and you have every right to vent.

If you can think of positive things in your life to concentrate on - family - friends - fishing - and use those to brighten your mental attitude - maybe it will help your body to heal.

First to admit that my faith is going away as well. I was baptized in January of 2009 but have not been to church since December and the more problems I have the farther away from God I get. I hear over and over and over and over that God does not put on us more than we can handle and that there is a reason for all of this and the path that I travel was there long before I was and..... very hard to keep the faith up when everytime you turn around you are in the hospital. What many don't know is that I have been going to UK EVERY WEEK for the past 7 weeks for an Endoscopy procedure. My small intestine has collapsed and they are ballooning up the area in hopes that it will stay open and I can eat food again instead of using my feeding tube. Stated out they could not even get the scope down then got it to 9, 11, 13 1/2 and 15 is the latest size of the opening. Moved it to every other week and next one is on the 28th. They have to give me so much anesthesia for a simple outpatient procedure that I have not slept ANY Thursday night, Friday or Saturday for the past 6 weeks. Completely awake and miserable by Saturday night / sunday whenever I do actually sleep. Not a way for a man to go thru life. There are times that I wish my health problems were terminal and I knew there was an end in sight because it would be easier to deal with mentally. All of this over and over stuff that I go thru *****. My wife sees what I go thru daily and she deals with medical records and sick people thru the Disability Office daily and has seen very few people in her 9 years there that have gone thru what I go thru. Not asking for sympathy just venting a bit and wish it was all over, one way or another.
