CR far from dead

Just returned from 5 days on the CR from a very productive trip. Didn't break the 20in mark' but came close. We had some dinks but more than our share of good trout. Water 44 dg while generaters on climbed to 50 dg by late afternoon. Covered a lot of miles but you got to go find them cause their not gonna find you.

odd thing the best fishing was when they were'nt releasing water. We did catch big browns when they were letting water out,but fishing was slow. They released twice a day on us. We fished from the dam to rainbow run. Water still murkey see my lure about 2 ft under water. Find the fast water and we'd find the fish. Didn't get to fish highwater it peaked out around dark. Fly rodders I talked to were doing okay, but I dont stay in one place to long. First time I've ever caught trout in a down pour.
