Great point! Buying them from some of the fellas on here like Legal Limit Lures(Jeff) or ZX150 (Ryan) is a good idea if you don't already make them yourself.
I pour my own footballs, poison tails, and casting jigs. Sometimes I pick up the Cumberland Pros out of pure convenience if I don't have skirts already made up for that particular trip. Pretty ornery paying for jigs just for the skirts, but has proved time and time again to work if I don't have my skirt material readily available in the boat to make adjustments on the water.
I like Legal Limit Lures jigs, I have used them for years, and they are quality made, with excellent hooks. Jeff will make special colors for you need them, he made a special color for me that really does well at Nolin in the fall. He is now making finesse jigs that are awesome, and I have done really well with the alabama craw. Give him a look, you wont regret it. www.legallimitlures.com
Im diggin the legal limit lures, is there a way to buy from him in person instead of having him ship them all of 5 miles in teh mail?
Yea, you can just call him, and he doesnt mind if you swing bye his house and pick them up. I pick mine up, because I live right down the road from him. So give him a call, sure he doesnt mind at all!
You guys should check out Hook Some Bass jigs. I know they have won two of my last few tournaments. Marty Mullins is the guy to call. He will send you whatever you want color wise. PM me for a number - not sure he wants it on the internet.
Cumberland Pro......... Check out the Procaster and the HD jig. Brian makes the best jigs on the market, period.
