Fished Friday in Greasy, Clifty and some main lake bays near Jamestown.
Water temp started out at 62 under clouds and drizzle and ended the day at 68 after 5-6 hours of sun.
Mainly fished soft plastics around pea gravel spawning areas. Watermelon tubes and lizards mostly. Topwater produced a few decent fish before the sun came out. Several of these took 2-3 strikes to get a hookup.
Secondary points and cuts off secondary points were best areas. A first for me was a fat 5 lb. walleye caught on a red Wiggle Wart off the west main lake point heading into Schoolhouse Hollow.
Once the front came through and sun came out, got a lot tougher. Caught lots of fish, but not a lot with size. I'd guess the larger fish are locked down pretty tightly on the beds by now...
