This happens sometimes when connections are not sure which race would be best for a particular horse and they want to check Post Postions, weather, what other horses will run, etc. I have seen horses listed for two races on the same day, or more commonly for two races, like on Saturday and Sunday but they always scratch from one other the other. No trainer or owner would even consider running a horse two days in a row.

Well like said if you read it carefully you are right but the media did report that she would be entered and possibly run in both races. Like you I had never heard of such a thing, but that is what they said.

Anyway I hope she wins. I don't keep up with the Ponies too much but it's fun once and awhile. We use to go the the Day at the Downs every year, that was always fun.
