anyone?
I don't know of any spots, but I was wondering why bullhead? Why don't you find a good, small lake that's stocked with channel cats and catch those?
Im just looking for someplace that has em so my 4yr old can have a blast catching a mess of "her sized" cats that wont put up more of a fight than she can handle on her kids pole.
Lake malone is stocked with Channel Cats. I don't think I have ever caught a big channel there.
Drakes Creek in Franklin got stocked with blues for whatever reason. It has channels in it to and I have caught one bullhead too. Shanty Hollow out richardsville rd might be a spot too.
I appreciate the input on channels and such but thats not what i was looking for. Im just looking for a small pond/creek etc that has bullheads so my daughter can catch a huge mess of them back to back instead of waiting forever for a bite since her attention span is shorter than my boat.
Only reason im wanting bullheads is because when i was younger I enjoyed the hell out of going to an old pond or creek catching a huge mess of them and thats what im going for with her.. tons of fish and tons of fun, Not really worried on something to take home to clean eat etc, and since they are really small it would be perfect for her
Take her bluegill fishing.
I just mentioned channel cats because in my experience if you can find a lake that has a healthy (probably just stocked) population of 12-15" fish, you can catch them almost as fast as bluegill. I've caught 15-20 in an hour or so before.
