Hybrids

Looking to get into some hybrids at Rough sometime in May/June. Never fished for them before. What type of gear and bait would be best. When and where? Any help would be appreciated.

not too sure about may and june, but from the middle of july until september we absolutely clobbered them last year on shad colored bandit crankbaits. august was probably the best, fishing at night on any of the big shallow clay flats in the lower half of the lake, man i tell ya it was something to see. looking forward to it this year, i hope it happens

We have absolutely KILLED the hybrids up @ RRL this spring, but it has recently slowed. Most of the fish moved way up the creeks, but should be coming back to the mainlake here soon. I haven't been back up there since it slowed some, but I need to get back as it should be picking back up.

We killed them on Erie Dearies (white,silver,chartreuse) with nightcrawler trailers trolled @ 2mph. We also picked up numerous hybrids (sometimes two at a time ) trolling small umbrella rigs @ 3mph. All fish came from where the mouth of North Fork hits the main lake.

I'm glad you brought this up, reminds me that I've got to back up there and see if they are on again. See ya up there! Good luck!
