You better make sure you're fully awake the next time you read my post. I didn't say ALL Mexicans are illegal, nor did I imply that all people of foriegn decent living here are illegal. For the one's who are living here legally such as yourself...talk to the one's you know and tell them to get it right.

Pot calling the kettle black? I never said that you said all Mexicans are illegal. Also you do realize that there is no way you can be of foreign decent (meaning your parents/ancestors were not born here) and illegal right? When you are born here, you are a citizen, period.

I was born in this country. I will die here. My parents were born here and other than my mom's mom, all other were born here for a few more generations.

I am very very against illegal immigration. I want it stopped, NOW. I want a big wall on both of our borders and and I want immediate deportation of known illegals.

What I do not want is a violation of the 4th and 5th Amendments. Even if this law doesnt will not apply to me in any way, ANY law that violates the Constitution does.

This is a land where you are innocent until proven guilty, a land where you have the right to refrain from self incrimination. A land that protects you from unreasonable searches and seizures. The 4th Amendment even specifically states "The right of the people to be secure in their...PAPERS...from unreasonable searches and seizures."

Because I know youre going to say it and most ignorant people do...yes the Constitution covers illegal immigrants. I may not necessarily agree with that but being illegal is the same as any other crime and if you commit any other crime, you dont lose your Civil Rights (except for the 2nd Amendmant which is utter BS but thats another story).

To sum it all up and to not be too cliche, I am not willing to sacrifice my liberty in order to determine who is a criminal and who isnt.

Build a wall and immediate deportation NOW!

Nuff said...ain't got time for any more B.S. on this subject other than the fact I like what Arizona is saying they're gonna do.

Let's see where it goes, like DJD said, gotta start somewhere.

At least one state stepped up! Now the ball is rolling and let's hope that other states keep it rolling.

Wrong means to the right ends. The law will not pass constitutional muster IMO but may serve to spark other reforms that will actually have a positive effect.

I heard that it is almost word for word what the federal law says. So if that is true we will see where it goes.

Glad AZ is standing up. Its a federal problem, immigration, and feds are not really stopping the flow.

My idea, we need landmines and claymores at the base of the border walls on both sides. Bouncing betty's would be better. Why? Flow will not stop until the folks crossing the border sense its more dangerous and life threatening than doing it the right way. I think I'd declare war on Mexico, as it appears they are not stopping/deterring the "invasion of America". Having done so, the folks crossing the border become hostiles, and combatants. To save life and limb, the combatant border crossers can "surrender to proper authority", or risk being treat as committing a hostile act.

Seriously, why is this any different than what Sam Houston faced at the Alamo?

If you really want to fix the problem, then you have to fix the source of the problem: why folks want to come here illegaly in the first place. If companies keep hiring illegals and nothing is done about it, nothing will change. Same for folks helping to get them in the country. Gotta take care of these issues first. Anything else is just a bandaid approach to fixing an amputation.

    Re: Arizona Immigration Law

Andrew makes a good point but here's a caviat to that, which can be an issue. These illegals mainly Mexicans get fake ID's and paperwork with Social numbers that look and even check out legit sometimes. I know, I've been through it. You can call the Social Security office and try to check out their Social's as legit, and they will all but come to your work and slap you right upside your head. It's amazing how all these privacy laws protect the illegal wrong doing's in this country.

I hate illegal immigrants it's a BIG problem with healthcare, and many other policy failures in this country.

If it was up to me I would launch war on them.
Raids in the middle of the night at their dwellings. You could probably get 25 from one house as they pack together like rats to save money.
Stop them at the border, with lethal force if need be. When you stack enough of them up they will slow down I promise you. Take the money saved from taking care of them to support and pay for the officers to enforce the law.

Give them one and done policy. We catch you once you get a free tatoo on your forehead of a bullseye, color is bright pink. That is so if you try it again the border patrol snipers have something to level the cross hairs on, then slowly exhale and squeeze, problem solved. Do it enough and I promise they will slow down tremendously from coming.

If I ever see a Mexican flag hanging above our American flag I will stop what I'm doing and make an ass out of myself.

And yes, sorry I might be a redneck!

    Re: Arizona Immigration Law

If those social security cards are as good as Mark says they are...then what I mentioned earlier is getting to be closer to the truth, which is in fact there had to have been some illegals actually make it to the polls and vote for Nobama.

I also agree with Andrew...the root of the problem needs to be addressed immediately with harsh penalties. Those people ain't hopping the fence totally blind and without aid from inside sources.
