Bad news. Praying its a very short visit .
I am back home. I don't have a hernia, which is the good news, no surgeries. I do have an air pocket in my small intestine, which is more painful than a hernia. I am also having a very hard time in controlling my narcotic pain meds. I am taking more than is prescribed by a MILE. Currently on Dilaudid 4mg and supposed to take 1 every 4 hours or 6 in a day and I took 184 of them in a little over 4 days and then took 82 of them in 6 days. I am not joking for those that know how strong Dilaudid is. That is how much tolerance to pain medicine that I have built up plus depression has set in and I am looking at my pain meds as a way to help and it is not. Currently reading Narcotics Anonymous book and looking into some NA meetings in Frankfort to go to for help. Don't have any pain meds now and will not ask for any prescription. Pretty much will grin and bear the air pocket until it goes away. I did have a successful Endoscopy procedure where they got my small intesting stretched to 17, considering they could not get the scope in the first time making good strides. I am eating more food by mouth and less by feeding tube but with having 9 Endoscopy procedures in 10 weeks they think this is where the air pocket is coming from. Next Endoscopy procedure is May 12th, an Encoscopy for those that don't know is where they put you to sleep with anesthesia and put a scope down your throat for certain procedures. In my case they are taking a ballon and blowing it up in my small intestine that is collapsed and trying to stretch it out so I can eat food by mouth and not use the feeding tube at all. No, I don't seem to catch a break. I went to Ky Lake 2 weeks ago and got to fish for 90 minutes and caught 28 fish with 8 keepers with 3sons. I had a 4lb smallie on the first cast, 2 1/2 Ky Bass on the 3rd cast and a 4lb Largemouth on the 5th cast. On the drive back to the ramp hit some waves and could not take the pain. Drive 4 hours, fish 90 minutes, drive 4 hours back, go into a depression funk and abuse my pain medicine for a week and a half and here is where I am at today. Prayers are welcome, I will beat this and get thru it. Elnut

Good to see you home Elnut. Yes with God's help you will beat this. Some good news noted in your report so I think the Lord is with you now. Prayers are still being sent and yes you will beat this. Glad to hear from you.![]()

Hope they get you fixed so you can eat and lead a normal life with no hospitals and only the normal amount of pain the rest of us endure.Get well soon.

Welcome back Elnut - you are the man!
Feeling a TON better today. One Day At A Time is my new motto instead of THATS LIFE, which has been for a while. I appreciate the prayers and comments, Thanks.
Elwood, I know you wil beat this, what ever it takes! I'll give you a call later next week.
We still have that striper trip to schedule for you and your family, so plan on spending a few days at our place. Lakes up a bit now with all the rain and I suspect there just may be a little wood floating around
.
