That might not be spelled right, but any of you guys fish the river? Have been thinking about putting in at Crosley FWA, not really sure what to target, maybe smallmouth? Anybody have any info on the FW lakes?
Thanks

The river you are referring to is the Muscatatuck River.......
With Musk you need to be weary that portions of it are wildlife reserves. Dont want the man after you. However, just a tad south of there is silver creek and is loaded with Smallmouths from what I heard from a guy at the BPS. Im going to find me a spot to fish here soon.
Muscatatuck - smallmouth, largemouth, panfish.
Silver Creek - muddy and silty everywhere I've crossed it. Not found the areas that hold smallies unless for some reason they like mud and silt............
Id have to assume the man meant more towards the Ohio seeing as Silver Creek is connected.
I dont think he is saying there are stripers/brownies 20 miles upstream near henryville.
Usually it's rockier the farther upstream you go but not the case with Silver Creek. I've scouted it just about everywhere it crosses a road and I've yet to see great habitat. Maybe it's what's in-between the bridges. The best I've seen it look is over by the golf course (covered bridge maybe?) and then directly below that dam on Blackiston Mill road.
I'm talking about fishing it around Crosley, they have a ramp there. I'm not sure the county but its up past Hardy Lake heading into N. Vernon.
Yeah, if you're heading to Crosley expect largemouth, smallmouth, and panfish. Jennings County. There is a ramp there, but from what I can remember it's not the greatest so I'd trade the 18' Stratos for a canoe or kayak.
Haven't fished it in years, but believe it or not, I used to catch TONS of everything underneath Blackiston Mill Rd. I caught some real good sauger down there, catfish, bass, everthing that swims. Started getting trashy about 10 years ago, and floods washed away some of the areas to access it without getting wet. Probably still some fish down there, along with shopping carts, and tires etc.Usually it's rockier the farther upstream you go but not the case with Silver Creek.
