Cumberland trip

Still holding with the plan to fish Cumberland starting 11th. Should I bring one or two beavers to tie to the front of the boat to get thru the timber.
So what do you guys think lake stable by mid-week next week? Appears night fishing could be out ? Still pull boards if able or bottom fish.

Better bring four, two upfront and two for relief. Was down at Somerset last night and drove by the lake, very ugly. Trees,trash, you name it, it was in there. Water looked like pure mudd.

I was going Thursday but am not going. Probably wont see any spring action. Looks like November for me. I wish you guys would catch some fish and post good full reports. That's as close as I'm going to get it seems.

Had to check it out for myself, so drove over to the dam this am. It's everything would expect after all the rain we got this weekend. Lake full of all manor of wood, large and small shipwreckers, plus all manor of other trash. No boat trailers parked at Halcombs and only saw one boat out on the lake....headed off an up into Indian Creek (9:00 am).


My recommendation would be; go somewhere else. Maybe you know of a FARM POND ?

Tracker18, I am still planning on going the 13th but I will be calling some local fishing guides I know to see how the conditions are for night time. I might be only fishing during the day possibly. Hope the Lake goes down some to clean it up. According to Alligator II, its up about 20ft.
