    Elkhorn/Kentucky Rivers

Flying back from Huntington WV flew over the Frankfort area and got a good look at the rivers. The Kentucky is chocolate milk like everyone has been saying, but the Elkhorn doesnt look near as bad... its color looks really good and doesnt seem to be as high as the Kentucky til you get close to their confluence and teh kentucky is actually backing up into elkhorn. Saw T-ville from teh air and the lake looks ok near the dam but the marina looks like it is in the middle of the lake.

Saw a couple of fellows attempting to wade Fisher's mill on the way back from work. Decent color. Still a little high for what they were trying to do. That view must have been fun.

Sorry Boone, I have'nt been through there lately. I see the upper N fork of Elkhorn, the S fork, and Stoner every day. I get second hand recon on the Salt and the Chaplin every day. That's about all I'm good for, the past couple of weeks.

They were spared the worst of it. Lots of debris to clean up, but the water in the new church didn't make it past the entry area. Not sure about some of the houses, though.

Good news. They have had their share of flood water (s).

They have. That's my former church. They have 90+ acres to build a new church out on US 421, but haven't been able to sell their Forks property because of the flood potential.
