Yup, you do see it a lot. When I used to drive around downtown a lot, I can't tell you how many times I saw people run red lights, especially within a second or two of them turning red. So now I do like Grumpy; especially at intersections where you can't see far around the corner, I wait a second or two after the light turns green, then creep into the intersection until I'm sure it's safe. But on a lot of those videos, there wasn't anything the person getting hit could have done, unless he had one of those buttons on his steering wheel like Speed Racer used to have.
I risk my life 2 times a day EVERY weekday when I cross the **** street at 1st and Main. THAT corner, as well as 4 or 5 others in the downtown area are HORRIBLE.Yup, you do see it a lot. I have no problem putting up cameras and throwing those **** light runners in jail with bubba for a night or two.

Hey that helmet law is a good thing, you shouldn't be forced to wear one. I also shouldn't be forced to keep brain dead people alive. Besides some of them make good organ donors.
Well I'm a no helmet wearing man. I understand the dangers and I thank you all for taking care of me once my million dollar policy runs out.![]()
I certainly agree with all motorcycle riders wearing helmets. Its been the law here in Canada for so long its hard to imagine not having it. Its like in the old days hockey players never wore helmets and then it became manditory for them to always wear helmets. Saves on injuries. Even the hard core bikers that I see now and again always wear helmets. They look like something from Hitlers army but they always wear them. Helmets prevent head injuries during accidents and doesnt tax the health care system. Its a positive all around. I am surprised to hear the States dont have them. Now that is a surprise.![]()
I don't stop at as many read lights as I used to. Most don't take credit cards anymore.
Each state is different some do and some don't.
First, always wear a helmet when in the "Car" at a "Red light". That's why I don't have any child support payments. (Scratch "car", insert "Bus", I date Bertha)
Second, if bikers can choose to wear or not wear safety gear i.e. helmets, why do I have to wear a seat belt? Is the law saying it's okay for a biker to be brain dead, but not an automobile operator? Equal rights, I should have the same opportunity to go brain dead going thru the windshield of my car, as a biker without a helmet does when he comes thru my windshield.
I know why we have to wear seatbelts........it makes it easier for the ambulance crew to find the bodies. ERGO.....bikers ought have to wear seat belts too. I mean, they really are more likely to be thrown out in the bushes where its hard to find them, than the driver of a KIA Rio.
If I ride a Motorcycle I wear a helmet.. I don't think it's the Gubment's job to tell me to wear one.. Darwin's theory at it's finest (for those who don't)....
Only time I say make them wear a seat belt or helmet is if they are under 18 because some parents are dumb too. I remember laying in the back window package tray as a little fella, making faces at the grumpy old people behind my dad's car. Looking back, that was duuuuuuuuumb.
Remember those giant land barge station wagons, like the Fords, and big Chevies? Remember the rear facing seats that folded up out of the floor. You know, the ones that parents who hated kids put the little folks in, way at the back of the car. As a kid, I used to sit there, looking out the back window, at red lights, with my fingers crossed as each car closed on us while we waited for the green. Looking back, suprisaed I didn't become a hood ornament! If I ride a Motorcycle I wear a helmet.. I don't think it's the Gubment's job to tell me to wear one.. Felt so lucky,, went Airborne in teh Army. Figured if a Ford LTD Country Squire Station Wagon couldn't kill me, no C-130 even had a chance.
