Thanks for the prayers. I am bummed out. The Surgery Center called yesterday and changed my surgery time from 11:15 am to 10:30 am. Early this morning they changed it to 10:00 am. I arrived on time and was taken into surgery. They checked my blood pressure and it was too high so four doctors stood around and discussed my case. They made the decision that I should be in the hospital from at least 24 hours before surgery until the day after so they can monitor and treat my blood pressure. Some medical personnel are trying to coordinate my case and make a decision on what to do and when to operate. I believe the b/p problem was caused from stress, fear, and pain. In frustration I announced to the doctors, "This $uck$." There was dead silence and then an older doctor started laughing and said that he had to agree with me.
We arrived back home and Sweetie Pie checked my blood pressure. The systolic pressure had already dropped 40 points. Two hours later it was back down to 131/74. Everything is on hold again and I'm still stuck at "square one."
