I went fishing this past weekend and MAN o MAN.......I was bass fishing but it was amazing the amount of gills I "spooked" while cruising the banks looking for bass.
I have not been out for a month or so, and wanted to see if I could see any bass nests in my favorite spots. To my surprise, I found hardly no bass up shallow, but TONS of gills.
I found one spot where I spooked probably 100 gills......SOME looked like MONSTERS.
I'm prob going to take a day or two off this week and go hit some of them.

I hope your right, I'll be going after them in the morning!
Fronts must have pushed them back off today, searched all day and did not find one fish on the beds. Did talk to a couple different boats that said they were on the nests over the weekend, and they were tearing them up. Still managed a good mess today, with the wind and all.
Geo, we had a 200 fish day on Monday and a 300 fish day a couple days later. Consisted of gills, redears, crappie and bass. Only brought home 25 on monday and none the next day as we still have plenty in the freezer. There were some real hog redears caught.
