I've been meaning to go to one of their games for a long time. They'll be playing at home for a while, starting 4/21. I'll have to make one of those games, like maybe 4/28, when they play UK.

You're not confused, I am. Here I am looking at the schedule and thinking 4/28/10 is in the future. What a dork.

They DO have 4 more home games left, though.

So what's the atmosphere like for the home games? I have a 5 year old that's playing softball right now and I wanted to introduce her to some live baseball games - either the RiverBats or the Cardinals. Do their games sell out? Tickets reasonable? I was picking up my packet for the PapaJohn's 10 miler about a month ago and there was a game just starting. Had to walk a 10 miler because of the parking but it looked like a good time.

If I'm reading this right, UofL baseball tickets are free:

Used to be you'd go by the stadium during a game and there was hardly anybody there. Now that they've gotten good, they're getting a lot more support. I know nothing about the atmosphere, never having been to one of their games.

Now as for the Louisville Bats (as the RiverBats are now known), we have season tickets, and I would highly encourage you go take your daughter to a game. Slugger Field is recognized as one of the best ballparks in all of Triple-A, if not THE best. It's a great, very family-oriented place. They have a play area for the kids, complete with a merry-go-round. Even if she doesn't get into the game very much, she won't be bored! The most expensive tickets are $11 for adults, $10 for kids. They rarely sell out, except of course on Thunder.
