The lake is still called Bob's it's just not open except for the tournaments held there. The owner is still the same and he still lives there on the property with his wife. He has stocked lots of channel cats as well as flatheads and blues for these tourneys. For the one in June he is tagging a bunch of fish and the prize money should be very nice. One guy won $940 at the last one and it only cost $35 to fish.

For the question about paylakes in general: You pay to fish and keep what you catch. Few lakes have limits of how many you can catch but most do not. The cost is usually around $15 for a 12 hour ticket. I went out to West Wind today and caught 39. Thats my last trip for a while so I was glad to fill the freezer.

You guys got me thinking. There used to be a pay lake up on a hill across from Waverly park. Instead of turning into the park turn in the street opposit the lake is still there but a few house around it. Also used to be several lakes on old 3rd and east pages the lake still there. But the big one was there was a really great lake down near I belive near summitt ky
it had 2 lakes one great big one real clear full of bass and other fish the smaller one was full of catfish. The story I got was several doctors made it back in the 50's on this farm it was great to fish. used to be a guy at an old house you paid him and drove thru a gate, years ago someone said they sold the place to a church. I saw and got more fish there than anywhere I ever went. this was back in the 70's ut can't remember where is is today. anyone know of this place

i remember a lake that sounds like that , we called it " the dollar pond" . i remember an old farm house that you had to stop and pay the go through a gate. i remeber catching quite a few catfish and bass out of there. that had to be at least 20 years ago. it was out off of cedar creek road in pioneer village i beleive.

If I want to fish for flathead and blues I would go to the river or lake to go this and then again it would be only catch and release. All fish I catch are released except for channels, bluegil, and crappie. And if they are big I take a picture and turn them loose. That way when I come back they will be even bigger.

Fishfry, what are the hours and day's that you can fish at West Wind? Is there any limits out there? Can you also fish for bluegills and bass and keep them also? Thanks in advance
